Terms of Service

Welcome to Trails Weaver ("the Platform"). The Platform is operated by an independent solo developer based in Ukraine ("I", "me", "my"). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By creating an account or using any features of the Platform, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, and able to enter into a binding contract.

2. The Service

Trails Weaver is a visual worldbuilding app for creating and managing worlds, characters, locations, maps, and related content. I offer a free tier and a paid Pro tier:

• Free Tier: a genuinely usable plan with limits on things like the number of game elements, worlds, and boards, and a smaller image-upload size.
• Pro Tier: removes those limits (apart from a larger per-image upload cap) for a subscription fee.

I may add, change, or remove features over time. Any one-time or lifetime purchase option is only available if and when it is explicitly offered at checkout.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and let me know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• The Pro tier is available as a recurring subscription, billed monthly or annually, and renews automatically until cancelled.
• All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record and handles billing, taxes, and receipts. I do not store or process your payment details directly.
• Refunds and cancellations are covered by my Refund Policy.
• I may change subscription prices; any change applies to future billing periods and I will give reasonable notice where required.

5. Your Content and License

You keep all ownership of the content you create or upload to the Platform. To run the service, you grant me a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, reproduce, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing Trails Weaver to you.

If you use the sharing features to publish a world or page via a link, you understand that you are making that content accessible to anyone with the link, and you are responsible for what you choose to share. You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, or violates others' rights;
• distribute malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the service;
• harass, abuse, or harm others, or misuse the Platform in a way that harms it or its users.

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform itself — including its software, design, branding, and the Trails Weaver name and logo — belongs to me. These Terms do not grant you any rights to it beyond using the service as intended.

8. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact me at info@trailsweaver.com with details. I will review valid notices and may remove the content and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.

9. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. On cancellation you keep Pro features until the end of the period you've already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free tier. To delete your account and associated data, use the in-app option or email me. I may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. I do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform. My total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid me, if any, in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of Ukraine, except where mandatory consumer-protection law lets you bring a claim in your own country.

13. Changes to These Terms

I may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept them.
