Trails Weaver Desktop License

Effective Date: October 10, 2026

This is the agreement between you and me, the independent solo developer behind Trails Weaver, based in Ukraine, for the Trails Weaver desktop app ("the App"). It adds to the Terms of Service. Where the two differ about the App, this one applies.

1. What You Get

When you buy the App you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it, with no time limit, on every computer that is yours. It is one payment. Every later version of the App for Windows and macOS is included at no extra charge. I decide what goes into future versions and when they come out, and I can't promise a schedule.

The purchase covers the App. It does not include the Pro subscription of the web version or any online service I may offer later, such as sync.

2. What You Can Do With It

Use it for anything you run or make: home games, paid games, published adventures, streams, commissions. You need no extra permission and owe no extra fee.

3. What You Can't Do

• sell, rent, sublicense, or give away the App or its installers;
• share your account or your downloads so that someone else can use the App without buying it;
• present the App, its design, or the Trails Weaver name and logo as your own, or release a copy or a modified version of it;
• remove copyright or license notices;
• decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law gives you that right regardless of this agreement.

4. Your Worlds

What you create is yours. The App stores your worlds as files on your own computer. I have no access to them and can't restore them, so keeping backups is up to you.

5. Account and Downloads

The license is tied to your Trails Weaver account. Installers for the current version are available at app.trailsweaver.com/desktop for as long as you have the account. If you delete the account, the App you installed keeps working, but the downloads are gone.

6. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 30 days of buying, no reason needed: write to info@trailsweaver.com from the email address on your account. A refund ends the license: the downloads are removed and you agree to stop using the App and uninstall it. Paddle, the Merchant of Record, returns the payment to your original method. None of this limits rights you have under consumer law. See also the Refund Policy.

7. Internet Use

The App runs without an account and without an internet connection. It connects only when you ask it to: "Check for Updates" reads a version file from my server, and online video you embed loads from its provider. It does not track how you use it.

8. Ownership

The App is licensed, not sold. The software, design, name, and logo belong to me. Open-source components stay under their own licenses, which are listed in the App.

9. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the App. My total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

11. Ending

The license ends if you break this agreement or take a refund. You then stop using the App.

12. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of Ukraine, except where mandatory consumer-protection law lets you bring a claim in your own country.

13. Changes

I may update this license for future versions of the App. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A change never takes away a license you already paid for.
